Why this site exists
As I've continued to learn more about magic and mentalism, I realized the website I was looking for to help me learn and practice the tricks I read about didn't seem to exist. And since my professional background is in tech, I decided to build it myself!
This website is a labor of love where I build training tools to help people learn self-working card magic and mentalism.
I'm not a professional magician. But I love the world of magic and mentalism and hope this site can help you learn or practice something new and magical.
How the tricks here are checked
A method that almost works is worse than no method, because you find out in front of somebody. So the trainers on this site are tested the way software is tested. A suite plays each trick through on a real page, from both sides, the magician's and the spectator's, and fails if the method does not land. It runs before anything reaches the site, and it is more than 1,400 checks deep.
Where a page claims a piece of arithmetic — that the 21 card trick narrows twenty-one cards to one, or that eight faro shuffles return a deck to where it started — there is a check behind the claim that does the arithmetic.
